ハッピーじゃなければ「エコ」じゃない。 NO HAPPINESS, NO ECO
地球環境はたいへんなことになっています。言うまでもありませんが。このまま温暖化に歯止めをかけられなければ、100年後の地球は人間の住める惑星ではなくなっていると言われます。極限の危機的状況にあります。ただちに行動を、変化を起こさなければなりません。もはや非常状態だ、温暖化と戦う覚悟でのぞまなければならない、と説く人もいます。たとえ、それが現実だとしても、戦うよりももっと有効なやり方があるはずです。「まなじりを決して」という姿勢ではなく、目を輝かせて取り組むエコでありたい。楽しくなければムーブメントは持続可能にならないと思います。むしろ、エコを知らなかった昔よりも、明るく陽気に上向きに。それが、エコプラザのめざす「エコ」のカタチ。未来に希望をつなぐハッピーが顔を出す、そんな場所でありたいエコプラザです。
NO HAPPINESS, NO ECO
The global environment is in a critical situation. Yes, everybody knows that. It is said that unless we do something about global warming, the planet Earth will not be a place for humans to live on in only 100 years later. ECO-PLAZA will repeat it again. The global environment is truly in an ultimate critical situation. We have to immediately act, we must make changes happen. There are even people who say that it is now under war, and that we have to prepare to fight against global warming. Although this may be true, we believe we can find the alternative way which is distant from fighting. So, what is necessary is ecological activities being carried out with eyes shining with expectations not eyes burning with fury. Unless these activities are fun, it would become difficult to keep on taking parts in the large movement. We in ECO-PLAZA wish people who visit our place would become more cheerful and optimistic against ecological activities than when they knew nothing about such activities. Our goal is extremely simple. We aim to make as many people as possible wear a happy smile on their faces with hope against the future.
